In my ten years of running a wellness centre Float Spa, I’ve met more yoga teachers than I can count. Talented, passionate, committed teachers — people who pour their heart into every class and genuinely want to make a difference.
But here’s what I’ve also seen: burnout, confusion, self-doubt, and brilliant teachers leaving the profession because they just couldn’t make it work.
And that breaks my heart.
Because yoga teachers are some of the most valuable people in our communities. They help others move better, feel calmer, and connect more deeply to themselves. In a world that’s often too fast, too disconnected, and too stressed — yoga teachers are part of the solution.
So it matters that they thrive.
Not just survive. Not just scrape by from class to class. But thrive — with clarity, confidence, stability and the ability to grow.
Yoga Teachers Are Givers
Most yoga teachers enter the profession because they want to help people. But the irony is: so often, they forget to help themselves. They give and give… and give some more. Often for too little pay, with inconsistent work, and very little support or guidance on how to actually build a career.
And in my experience, the yoga teacher training system doesn’t always prepare them for the reality of the industry.
That’s why I’m so passionate about changing the conversation. Because thriving as a yoga teacher isn’t just about perfecting your asanas or learning anatomy — it’s about business skills, personal clarity, visibility, and mindset.
From Passion to Profession
Yoga teachers are not just spiritual guides — they are self-employed business owners. And like any business owner, they need structure, strategy, and support.
That’s where I come in.
I’m not a yoga teacher, but I’ve spent a decade running a yoga studio and over a decade before that in marketing. I’ve seen the missed opportunities. The vague bios. The pitch emails that never get a reply. And the incredible teachers who just needed someone to say: “Here’s what works.”
That’s why I created my first eBook, Open Doors. It’s my way of giving back — offering practical tools and insider insights that yoga teachers often never get told. And it’s just the beginning.
Thriving Teachers Create Thriving Communities
When yoga teachers feel empowered, supported and well-resourced, the ripple effect is huge. Students feel it. Studios feel it. Entire communities feel it.
A thriving teacher leads better classes. They show up with more presence. They offer more depth. And they stick around — long enough to build real impact.
Helping yoga teachers thrive isn’t just about them. It’s about all of us.
If you’re a yoga teacher, I see you. I respect what you do. And I want to help you do more of it — with less stress, more clarity, and a whole lot more confidence.
With love,
